Join Sera Waters for a hands on workshop in the slow act of stitching.
As part of Stability Grace Endurance: Hand Crafted in Early Barossa exhibition currently on display at the Barossa Regional Gallery you are invited to reawaken your own history and styles for contemporary purposes through needle and thread.
In this session of pure enjoyment, reflection and relaxation you will learn techniques for beginning to stitch your own Noticing Sampler.
Waters says, “I believe there is a power to reharness and record, in the slow acts of stitching, daily lives and events (particularly from women’s lives) which have historically been undervalued or under-documented.”
This workshop is for all levels, from beginner to advanced. You will take home your Sampler as well as resources to keep stitching.
All materials provided, however participants are welcome to bring resources from home.
