Join award winning First Nation artist, Sonya Rankine of Lakun Mara at Barossa Village to learn traditional Ngarrindjeri and Ngadjuri weaving techniques and be a part of a cultural immersion experience.

Aunty Pat, a Ngadjuri Elder will be joining Sonya, adding a layer of storytelling and cultural transmission, allowing participants to better understand the connections to country and the important social issues facing Indigenous communities
The blending of art, culture, and storytelling in this weaving workshop offers so much more than just learning a craft. It’s a chance to understand the deeper connection to country, tradition, and the rich history that weaving holds for the Ngarrindjeri and Ngadjuri peoples.
Aunty Pat and Sonya have been working together sharing Ngadjuri culture through weaving and art workshops on Ngadjuri country for five years.
