Note: This soldier may not be the R. Jenkins listed on the Honour Roll but it the most likely from the 446 Jenkins listed in the archive. His Application for Commission lists his Postal Address as “c/o T Wallace Tanunda. It is possible that this is Thomas Wallace, father of Jack Vincent Wallace and George Gordon Wallace, both killed in action. Virtual Was Memorial lists R.A.J. Jenkins on the Tanunda Honour Roll but no link to a soldier of this name. On the same site, Leiutenant William Roy Jenkins is not listed as being on the Tanunda Honour Roll, but does list his “home town” as Tanunda. This soldier also served in World War 2 as Recruiting Office at Port Lincoln with the rank of Captain.
